"Props to Dr.Donald Byrd for assembling this Band. these Songs are still so Soulful. walking in Rhythm is still the Jam with that Cool flute Groove. the vocals&the Rhythm of the track makes you feel like it's late spring or Summer. "happy Music" is feel Good music. but the main cut is "Rock Creek park" doing it in the Park, doing it after dark oh yeah Rock Creek park, oh yeah Rock Creek Park. that Jam is still smoking. the BlackByrds are One of the Most Underrated bands to me."

"The Blackbyrds are another one of those groups, that although they gained some success, did not capture all the recognition they justly deserved. When you purchase this CD you will know what I mean. It is one pleasing track after another and shows off all this multi-talented group had to offer. They had a wide range of variety to their music, which this CD stronly displays. Soul, pop, funk, jazz....it's all here. Their songs are filled with love, happiness, mystery & hope. Their major hit "Walking in Rhythm" was a top ten smash, but if you ask me, this entire CD is a top ten smash. The Blackbyrds apparently "Walked in Rhythm" as they recorded each track, as you will hear if you buy this impressive collection. Their vocals harmonize beautifully and there are some unexpected instrumentals that are soulful to the ear to be found also. "Happy Music" will make you Happy!"
