CD Reviews

Growlin' Punk Rock!
10/10/2000
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Bleed is a 3 piece band from Wisconsin and they know how to rock n roll. These guys combine many elements: late 50's (a bit of Elvis); 60's (The Sonics) and a '77 punk rock bent that melts together and spells: BLEED. "Motor Psycho" starts off with "Lusty Lady" a hard slab of punk rock followed by the awesome title track, which pummels away. Other highlights include "Fist", "The Goon" (which is also on a Halloween comp called "Monster Party 2000", where I first heard of this band) and "Heart Breaker", a VERY catchy tune. Hope Bleed will tour, as I'd think they be a killer live band. I recommend this record."
Punk Garage to the Max!!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Raw and rough and definitely ready. Bleed is like a cross between the Sonics and early Mudhoney, both Pacific North West bands, but, Bleed is from Milwaukee! How a Mid West band can capture the essence of that sound and combine it marvelously with their own punk rock fury is a good question, but it's answered with "Motor Psycho". This CD is excellent- it has tons of energy, cool style of singing, sharp guitar playing and a primitive rock and rollin' rhythm section. Favorite songs include the title track, "Love Me", "Heartbreaker" and the eerie "Lusty Lady". Well worth the price."
