"When I first heard about the new album, I was skeptical of the sound. Half of the band is new and the sound is completely different from their other albums. With the departure of Brandon Thomas as lead vocals, I was constantly being assured that the new lead singer, Mark, was going to fit right in and that I would love the new sound. I first had "Closer" played for me in February and I was actually convinced by this song, but still unsure about others. The intro pulled me right in. I was hooked. Unfortunately, I had to wait for another month and a half before I could hear anything else from the album. After a very patient wait, I got the album and listened to it straight through. I must admit, it's the first album I could listen to without skipping over any tracks. This is what Bleed the Dream should sound like. It's a very catchy album with songs like "Beaten and Blindfolded" and "Closer." The edge, however, comes from the subject matter of the lyrics--dealing with murder ("Killer Inside") and overcoming drug addiction ("Stay the Hell Away From Me"). Give it a listen, and decide for yourself. But, I do think that this is the best thing they've done to date."
