"This record is just catchy-as-hell, the perfect combination of pop and rock, with plently of fuzzed-out guitars and gorgeous melodies. The guitar riffs are on the heavy side, but are balanced out by great vocals and harmonies. This record is just infectious. I think really anyone would like this, but it's especially a must for anyone who likes Fountains of Wayne, Semisonic, Nada Surf, or any other bands of their ilk. This record also takes the risk of adding the occaisional hair-metal harmonized lead guitar part (as they do on "Could Be Worse"), but it totally works. Really, just buy this record, this guy's got a great voice and superior songwriting skills and the result basically just rules."
ATTENTION PLEASE........FINALLY SOME TALENT

"Thank you Bleu, finally some great music with talent, variety and intelligence......about .......time as Stella McCartney said. As a jaded 40-something who experienced some phenomenal monumental musical creativity in the 80s-90s, but suffered from VH1 ennui after 2000, Bleu's Redhead was a much needed zephyr of muse that prevented me from hitching my wagon to "the oldies station". Bleu's fusion of 70's keyboards, 80's orchestrations, 90's guitar riffs and 00's archetypal styling, rejuvenated my ears. Not since XTC's Skylarking and Todd Rundgren's Liars have I been so riveted to an album. Don't just stand there, BUY THIS ALBUM your brain needs some real music...."

"Any fan of power pop needs to purchase this cd. Bleu is the Cheap Trick/Knack of the new millenium. Every song on this thing is great. I got it used on here for about $1.75...total bargain! I haven't stopped listening to it since."

"First off, Bleu is a genius, and I am a total Bleuhead, the guy makes killer, individual, powerpop, somewhere inbetween Jellyfish and Todd Rundgren. I've been a fan since last summer, when I saw him open for delighful Japanese female duo PuffyAmiYumi in NYC. And, bottom line, pardon the pun, he blew me away!! Sooo, I met my new hero after the show, and he was as cool as I expected; all true powerpop people always are, no ifs, ands or buts. I asked him about a new record + deal (all he had at the show was copies of his 2000 Lunch Records release "Headroom", which is another great disc), so he said yeah, new deal with Aware/Columbia and a record out in September! I'm like, excellent!! Soooo, I see it out, and I get it as a promo. Waiting for the regular release in the stores...nothing. And it's pushed, and pushed, and pushed some more, well into 2003, supposedly out at the end of February, nope, nothing!! Then, come June, it's FINALLY out, woohoo! I pick it up, and I'm like, HUH??? Different cover, altered tracklisting, new catalogue number and switched distribution from Sony proper to Sony Red Ink! They removed 3 tracks, one of them my FAVOURITE, "Sayonara"! Two new Bleu songs, OK, soften the blow a bit, but "Sayonara" is genius, and what adds icing on the cake was the delightful backing harmonies of PuffyAmiYumi themselves! The other 2 removed songs are "Feet Don't Fail", formerly from "Headroom", so no big deal, and "Ursula Major, Ursula Minor", another goodie. The 2 new songs are the opening "Get Up" and track 3, "That's When I Crash", which is very cool. I guess the best bet is to look for promos of the original "Redhead" (Aware/Columbia/Sony, cat# CK 86280), and get the newly released version. That way, you'll have all the songs.Bleu is a genius, but they shouldn't have messed with the greatness that is Bleu's "Redhead". Plus, anyone who collaborates with Jellyfish's master Andy Sturmer, as well as PuffyAmiYumi, is cool in my book...go Bleu!"
