Their formula is simple enough--equal parts teenage humor and brattiness combined with infectious guitar hooks that just beg to be cranked up on the stereo. But with Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, the guys in Blink 182 ma... more »y have delivered their best album to date, a punk-pop fusion that's so consistent you'll wonder which of the 13 tracks will become radio hits (any has the chance, really). Yes, as with Dude Ranch and Enema of the State, the songs here revolve around falling in love ("The Rock Show," "First Date"), falling out of love ("Online Songs," "Happy Holidays, You Bastard"), and plenty of other ways to kill time while away from school ("Reckless Abandon"). And yes, these guitar-driven songs all pretty much sound the same, but Take Off never gets boring. There's too much nervous energy here, too many slight variations in the arrangements, and too many hilarious lyrics that you won't want to miss. Parents may remember that the Buzzcocks used this same shtick in the late '70s, older siblings may remember that Green Day did it well not so many years ago, but Blink fans know that their band is more clever than anyone else playing today. The bonus tracks are throwaways, but that's OK--the threesome have given us plenty to bop our heads to here. --Jason Verlinde« less

"This is a great cd. I bought it after reading reviewes on this page. Here is the list of song, there ranks(my opion), and amount of profanity.(Note: all profanity is edited out on the clean version)(1) Anthem Part 2, great way to start a cd. Has 4 F-words but the edited version takes them out. A long intro but I still give it 9 1/2 \10 stars.
(2) Online Songs, its good not as good as good as other songs on this cd. No profanity in this song. It gets a 8 \10.
(3) First Date, great song (actually the frist blink 182 song I heard and it got me hocked). No profanity in this song. It only gets a 8 \10 because of overplay on the radio.
(4) Happy Holidays, Basicaly an instrumental most of the song is so profain they had to edit it all out but the last line.
(5) Story Of A Lonely Guy, good, but kind of depresing. 2 F-words in this song. It gets 8 1/2 \10.
(6) The Rock Show, great! You probably already heard this on the raido. It has 1 F-word. It gets 9 1/2 \10.
(7) Stay Together For The Kids, GREAT!! I love this song! The best song on the disk. No profanity in this song.
It definatly gets a 10\10.
(8) Roller Coaster, good love song. 1 F-word is on this song. It gets a 8 1/2 \10.
(9) Recklwss Abandon, Great secont best on this cd. 3 F-words along with 1 S-word, they also edit out laid. It gets a
9\10 because of the useless profanity.
(10) Everytime I Look For You, good song. No profanity in this song. It only gets a 9\10 because it does not measure up to other song on this disk.
(11) Give Me One Good Reason, good song about rebelion. 2
F-words and one use of [word]. They also don't edit out "piss off". 9/10
(12) Shut Up, ok song about breaking up. 9 F-words and 1
S-word. It only gets a 6 1/2 \10 because of the profanity.
(13) Please Take Me Home, good song about going out with a friend and it not working out. No profanity in this song. It gets a 9\10. Good way to end a cd.That's it I hope you like the cd and this review helped you."

"1. Anthem pt. 2 : B- A good song but the beginning 50 seconds is guitar
2. Online Songs: A- Great song, good beat whole way through
3. First Date : A+ You can't beat this track. Good vocals/guitar.
4. Happy Holidays: N/A You can't even count this, its 42 seconds, with only one sentence that's sung
5. Story of Lonely Guy : B It's Blink's only slow song, pretty good.
6. Rock Show : B One of those songs which is good at first, but it gets old fast.
7. Stay Together for the Kids : B- Not the best, but the chorus is similar to the old Blink Style, punk.
8. Roller Coaster: A- Great song, great chorus
9. Reckless Abandon: B+ Blink's last stab at staying punk
10. Everytime I look For You: C+ Least favorite song, only the beginning sounds good.
11.Give Me One Good Reason : C+ An odd song, you have to hear it. It's not their best.
12. Shut Up : B+ The reason it's not an A- is because of the swearing. He says the 'f' word 7 or 8 times. A great song besides that.
13. Please Take Me Home : A- Great chorus, but it's very "poppy". I think Blink's edge has dulled."

"Ok, I was at first overjoyed that a new Blink 182 cd would be out. I have been a fan for years. This cd is awesome. It combines many things and I can listen to it over and over. I know some people think they have gone pop, not totally though. When they start to dance in line and sing about strings or something like that, I'll worry. My favorite has to be Give Me One Good Reason, Rolercoaster, and Anthem Pt. 2. These songs are awesome. The songs aren't as punk as they used to be, but I am a fan to the core, and I'll never dislike them. It's good. I prefer the first cd's like Enema Of The State, it was a good compilation of music. I love this cd and recomend it to anyone. I would recomend getting the jacket, I have the pants, but my dad has the jacket,it's great. Get all the blink cd's they are great party music and great to listen to at any time. I would have to say, blink may have changed to make money and sell more, they put more heart into the other cd's and seemed just to be immature and have fun, that's what I love about them. That's it, get all the cd's. I also recoment Linkin Park's Hybrid thoery. This is the greatest non-blink 182 cd i have ever heard.

"People are saying that Blink182 is posing off of Sum41. Sum41 is coppying off of Blink182! Blink has been around scince 1993, and Sum41 has been around scince 1997! But, TOYPAJ sounds a lot like all Killer no Filler. They have a couple differences though. Anyways, TOYPAJ is just as good as Chrshire Cat, Better than Ennema, worse than Dude Ranch, and better than Buddha. Get It? OK. Now I will start talking about the album. Anthem Part II is a great opening song. Online Songs has a good courus, The First Date has good verses, Happy Holidays, You B****** is a really bad song (swear word wise), Story of a Lonley Guy is adicttive with all the "dadas" in the courus, The Rock Show is one of the best songs on the album, Stay Together For The Kids is a good quiter song, Roller Coaster is a great song about confidense, Reccles Abandon is a good song about Learning a lot and Memories, Evertime I Look for You is a great song about dumping and evertime, Give Me One Good Reason is a good song about kids fitting in, Shut up is a song about running away, Please Take Me Home is a good song about long dates and girlfriends, and all the bounus traks are great, especially on the green one. Buy this album right away!!!!!"
