"Well Finally the third LP by Blood or Whiskey has hit the states again with their best yet!! These guys come straight out of Dublin, Ireland so they know how to Celtic Drinking music with a twist of Punk rock for good measures!! If you love music to listen to while having a pint and hang with your mates this is a must a have!! They have a new lead singer Dugs Mullooly whose picked up the torch from Barney Murray. Which sometimes change up on lead vocal can go bad but, in this case they're just as solid as ever!!! They even have Cait O'Riordan (from the Pogues for those who don't know) guest vocals on a few songs!! Yes, if you're a fan of Pogues you must pick this up and their first two LP's too!! Flogging Molley and Dropkick fans will instantly love this too!!

Cashed out on culture is a very good album. This irish punk group is too good. If you like Dropkick Murphys , Tossers, pogues Flogging Molly or just punk and ska fan , you must listen this album. This album is more punk and ska than the two others. Blood or whiskey is now a punk rock irish group and not a irish punk group like before but it's okey, it's different a like that. There is also rancid and ska style. The songs are very differents: there is ska, ballad and punk rock. The Musical Instruments give a unic style too the music. They use banjo, bugle, accordian, tin whistles, vibroslap and percussion.

"I enjoy this cd very much, i've always been a fan of the paddy punk scene. I also listen to a lot of straight up traditional folk music, so anything nearly folk related I usually like. Ever since I first heard Blood Or Whiskey they have always failed to disappoint. IMO their first cd is better but thats probably because that was the first cd I heard from these guys. Cashed Out On Culture features a new singer and a more punked up attitude then their previous releases, which can be a good thing. I've heard plenty of people express their hate for this cd, not on amazon, but others just can't get over that fact that Barney their first singer is gone. Bands mature, grow, and experiment with their sound as the years go on, putting out the same sounding cd every couple years would get boring and too repetitive, so this is a welcomed release. This is another solid release and sign of better things to come as well."

"I first saw these guys in 2001 in Virginia Beach, VA, at a pub in the mall, fer cryin' out loud. As a longtime Dropkick and Flogging Molly fan, I was pleased to see what the lads from Kildare had turned out. Barney was such a cool vocalist, and Dugs (he was a founding member, by the way, not Barney's replacement) was the most ferocious acoustic guitarist I had ever seen. I have spent the last 4 years enjoying their two previous albums, and when "Ca$hed out on Culture" was released, I was blown away! To see how much they have grown as a punk act is amazing. As one reviewer noted, they are now a true punk Irish band. And I admit, I am finally glad to have a recording of "Poxy Pub", a song that I heard at that first show but was not on any of their records at the time. Well done lads, and I hope to see you soon. For all those out there who enjoy the CD, make it a mission to see them in person when you get the chance. You will not be disappointed!"
