"One of my best friend's had this cd one day in his car. He knew that I am a hard rock fan, so he played this cd to annoy me. That did not happen, for I fell in love with Bluegrass music. Each and every song on this album is great. I now have several Bluegrass albums, but this is still my all-time favorite. I highly recommend this album to anyone, regardless of what kind of music you enjoy."
This is the best bluegrass I've heard in a while.

"If you are into bluegrass, this is the CD for you. I was born and raised in the mountains of Virginia with lots of bluegrass roots and I can tell you that these guys are tremendous."

"A very, very good bluegrass project. This is the initial effort by Blue Highway, a group whose pickers have cut their chops in some of the top notch bands around including Alison Krauss and Ricky Skaggs. This group has heart, soul and harmonies as well as being excellent players. Track after track is very strong. From the instrumentals, the slower songs to the mid-tempo or double time songs this group shines. And this album contains very poignant lyrics, with probably one of my favorite bluegrass songs of all time, Blue Ridge Mountain Girl. But the enjoyment does not stop there, with the many outstanding songs you will receive a lot of enjoyment. If you are in to bluegrass, this is an excellent album to purchase. If you are not, this is a good introduction to this style of music."
"I was not very familiar with bluegrass music prior to listening to this album. I can truly say that I was amazed when I first listened to this CD. The harmonies are so tight, the lyrics so emotionally moving, and the instrumentation so polished that I never get tired of listening to it. Of course, I feel the same about anything by Blue Highway. I have heard them perform once live and they are as good or better in person."
Like all good bluegrass, this album hits the heart.

"These songs are all full of hard drive and feeling. My favorite is "Lonesome Pine" because it does what all great bluegrass does--it takes one back to simple and honest times. That song should be the quintessential bluegrass anthem! Great stuff from a sensational band!"
