Landslide Records is proud to present FACES, the fourth album, and label debut, from the popular high energy bluegrass hybrid ensemble, Blueground Undergrass. Led by rockin banjoman Jeff Mosier (Phish, Leftover Salmon) and fiddler supreme David Blackmon (Widespread Panic), Blueground has carved out a loyal nationwide following since its inception in the late-1990's. Other band members include guitarist Matt Williams (Captain Solarcat), Francisco Fatturoso, Bass, and Matthew Cowley, drums. FACES also features notable guests Col. Bruce Hampton pedal steel), Jimmy Herring (guitar), and Gary El Buho Gazaway (trumpet). Anchored by eight hook-laden and surprisingly diverse originals, the album impresses with distinctive cover versions of among others, Guy Clark s Dublin Blues and the Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter classic, Black Muddy River .

"This is a wonderful album throughout with a strong mix of bluegrass, rock, jazz, jam and beyond. Great playing from world class fiddler David Blackmon and banjo legend Jeff Mosier. Lead vocals and harmonies are first rate as well. Lots of music on FACES--it's a true bargain!"
