"Its about time this album was released--It has got to be one of the best of 1969--now where are the 1st and 3rd albums for Blues Image? They are equally as good-I have all three on LP. This album--GREAT GREAT Blues Rock--Mike Pinera (Iron Butterfly) Joe Lala (Steve Stills) and company provide some excellent jams here--Ride Captain Ride was a top ten single--the only problem the guitar solo at the end was cut off early-I saw Pinera do this song a couple yrs ago at a county fair and he went on for about 5 minutes at the end--What a solo!!!! Clean Love is an excellent slow Blues song with a great solo--the sound is excellent on all songs-very clear--Partridge Farm is great-it leads into a great guitar solo. I saw these guys at Winterland 1969--Fantastic Show!!! Pick this CD up and get the 1st & 3rd albums when they arrive on CD-hopefully--for now search the bins for the LPs-you will not be disappointed. ROCK ON-Blues Image---Also check out Mike Pinera's 2 solo albums released on LP in the seventies--called Thee Image--great guitar work!!!!!!!!"

"When I saw this album available on CD, I had to buy it. They were one of my favorite bands from the late sixties. Let me tell you these guys were real good by combining blues with the Cuban beat, especially Joe LaLa and Mike Pinera who are from Cuban background. The other musicians are great too! I just hope the other two albums (Red, White & Blue and Blues Image) will be available on CD soon so I can complete my collection. If you like early Latin rock check this CD."

"There is no single album that I missed more than this one for want of not having a CD available. Now the CD is here and we have the Blue's Image back. This is some brilliant work. The popular "Ride Captain Ride" is a wonderful song but it's the other works that make this CD kick. In particular, Fugue U and Parchman Farm are just AWESOME. I just can't tell you how much I have missed these two songs over the last 20 years. And there are lots of other gems like "Pay My Dues", "Take Me", "La Bamba", and "Clean Love". Great music. KILLER guitar work. They were just an incredibly creative bunch of musicians. My vinyl copy is precious to me though I no longer have a turntable to play it on. The new CD is getting converted to MP3s for my Jukebox and it will be blasting out of the speakers on my Harley very shortly. Life is good again!!"

"A friend bought this from a record club when it was first released. He told me I HAD to come over and hear this.I was expecting the usual thing from a new band with the "big hit".Maybe 3 good songs and a bunch of filler.ButI was blown away by this.Good songs done by really good musicians.Mike Pinera plays some tasty blues and latin flavored boogie licks. Not a wasted note on this. The cd remaster is very well done, sound quality is excellent. This was a killer band that sadly only cut one more record.Percussionist Joe Lala from the new liner notes:"Every once in a while I'll put that bad boy on,just to reminisce.I'm telling you,That band was unstoppable.""
