"For most of us who are familiar with Bob Baldwin's body of work, the latest release - All in a Day's Work, is simply brilliant. The opening song - A New York Minute is mesmerizing and the title track is classic Baldwin. If you have BobBaldwin.com, try playing Funkin for Jamaica and then Can You Feel It, from the latest release. Both are vocalized by Tonni Smith. For anyone in doubt, please -- you are invited to go back and give Brazil Chill another listen. You'll be glad you did, that's all I have to say... Brazil Chill is just as brilliant as the others. I am building up my collection of Baldwin CD's until have as many as I can get.



If you've never seen Bob Baldwin perform -- this is the icing on the cake. I can attest to that!!!!!!! He is a true professional, a skilled artist and band leader and fantastic performer!!!!"

"Keyboardist Bob Baldwin remembers advice from his jazz pianist father early on in his career, "Get your props from your body of work, not some sad hit that was pre-determined by some power-hungry exec." Bob's latest album, ALL IN A DAYS WORK, is the embodiment of that philosophy. Instead of one or two standout tracks and a lot of mediocre filler, this disc is loaded with compelling, memorable tunes from first note to last... Every one of which would sound awesome coming out of a radio or your player. Bob emphasizes percussion on this collection, so there's plenty of movement to this music. I've always liked Bob Baldwin's style of playing, and I'm especially pleased with the results he's gotten on this one, as he moves smoothly from piano to Rhodes to all the other sonic colors in his keyboards. I enjoyed his previous release, BRAZIL CHILL immensely, and ALL IN A DAYS WORK picks it up right where he left off, in Rio, and evolves stunningly from there back to his home base, New York City. The selections on this disc are all originals I might add and they range from a Brazilian vibe ("Day-O" and "The Very Last Night In Rio") to the ultra-funkiness of "Can You Feel It?" featuring the fine vocal work of Tonni Smith. ALL IN A DAYS WORK is tight, crisp, and more than worthy of your time and ears. This one goes into my music collection in the "essentials" category. May I suggest the same for your Smooth Jazz library? ~SCOTT O'BRIEN"

Outstanding Jazz!!

"Bob Baldwin is one of the hardest working jazz musicians in the business. In addition to his musical creations, he's also has a hand in organizing a music festival in Westchester County (NY). He's also had some bad luck in regards to record labels. The last CD he released with his previous label, A440 Music Group was a critical success. However, the company suffered from a cash flow problem to promote his and other artists CD's and declared bankruptcy last year. Baldwin has since signed on with 215 Records out of Philadelphia for his latest release, "All in a Day's Work". For those who are not familiar with Baldwin, just think of Alex Bugnon with soul. His style is smooth, very hip. His music sounds very much like New York. it has an urban style that is sophisticated and classy. I thought that sound was clear with the title track as well as the song, "Steamy". They were clearly the best tracks on the CD. I was very thrilled by his release. He'll be in our play list for sometime. It's an outstanding piece of work.
