"Battle Stereo is one of the greatest CDs I ever heard. Long time ago, I own this album in the old laquer disc format, and I liked very much when I heard it.The album consists of a set of epical music, directed by Bob Sharples, which includes begins with The American Revolutionary War, including the March of the British Grenadiers, and the Yankee Doodle. It is followed by the Napoleonic-Russian War, a great one, in wich you can heard the savage cold wind of the snowy Russian Fields followed by the first contingent of French Army, marching just behind the Drum Corps. The Russian appearence is made after a sonorous courtain of cannon fire, with french army in retreat with the Russian army completing it's advance. The record also includes:The the United States Civil War, featuring Dixie and the Battle Hymm of the RepublicThe Crimean War, featuring Tchaikovsky's March Slave, Rule of Britannia and Scotland the Brave.World War I, wich is a music suite including the German National Anthem, Meadowland, The Marcia Reale, Tipperary, Auprés de Ma Blonde and finally National Emblem, where the participants of the "Great War" are portrayed in a stunning and vivid musical portrait. And Finally, the Battle of Britain, featuring the Horst Wessel Song, in which you can heard the high pitched voice of Adolf Hitler followed by the thundering cheers that accompany the address, with german people singing the "Horst Wessel Song"Mean while in the right speaker you can hear the wail of a London air attack sirens. When sound begins to appear in the left speakers you can hear the Lüftwaffe flying over London bombing it, the chimes of the Big Ben and finally the words of Britain Prime Minister Winston Churchill litsening in the background the people singing the "Land of hope and Glory" song, rising and fighting back for their right to remain free. All this recorded ina a Phase 4 Audio system was the most beautiful way to present this music, because it uses a directional four chanel recording system, wich was the most close audio system in its time to the new Dolby® Surround® System. Now presented in a Digitally mastered CD format, Litsening it with the new Dolby Surround technology, and of course, the other new audio systems like Dolby Digital, you will found that this CD is itself a true master piece. It sounds really great.I'm more than happy to give this one a Five Stars rating, because it worhts it !"
That we here shall highly resolve that this CD shall live on
