Great CD

"I bought this album based on just knowing one piece ("Estralita"), but reviewing the list of other titles I thought the rest of the album would be good too. I wasn't disappointed. If you love swing music and the accoustic sound, you'll love Fiddle Patch. Great virtuoso performances."

Excellent example of Mr Hick's preferred style

"Mr Hick's professional awards are well deserved. I have read that his is more of a Texas swing style (as opposed to bluegrass) and I think this CD is a good example. Although as I recall the 1st track has a hard driving bluegrass rythym. Regardless of personal preferences, anyone should appreciate the talent level of Mr Hicks as well as the musicians he assembled for this CD."
