Sure to please early sixties recordings

"These recordings are the originals first released on the Bell Tone label (beginning in 1961). Bobby Lewis not only hit the top of the charts that year with "Tossin & Turnin" but his follow-up, "One Track Mind" also hit the top ten. The track listing here and on the sleeve is incorrect (same number of tracks but the order has been shuffled). This compilation includes the 2 1/2 minute mono single version of his number one hit (this is the version of "Tossin & Turnin" which most oldies stations play across the country) plus the stereo version with the terrific intro added before Bobby sings the classic line "I couldn't sleep at all last night..." Collectors will enjoy the rear treat of hearing both versions. Get this one today."

"This is a collection from bobby lewis, the singer of Tossin' & Turnin' and one of the early sounds as R&B matured out of the late fifties into the sixties. I was three years old at the time and falling asleep every night in the Bell Tone studios as my dad, who just passed away, put his hand in his slicked back hair and did another fifty takes to get it all right. Dad wrote Tossin' and Turnin' and probably twenty more tunes and produced this album, which is really part of the maturation from simple R&B to the beginnings of the mix of R&B and rock, and the Motown sound. Sure to please...even if I'm biased."
