The bait is the bait and Rush is Rush

"Bobby Rush............been in this business for over 40 years and shows no signs of cutting back. Since his recuperation, after the tragic tour bus crash in 2001, Bobby has been one of the most prolific recording artists around. He put out 2 albums in 2003, one in 2004, and 2 this year; 2005.
Night Fishing is his newest and is steeped in the Rush tradition of a mixture of Southern Soul, R&B, and a little straight forward blues. Now that's not surprising given the fact that all the songs were written by Rush himself. The first 5 tracks, Night Fishin' through Who's Fooling Who, are a fine display of his Chittlin Circuit soul. And I have to say some of my most favorite on the album.
Track 6 - Checkout Time starts to make the transition to a more R&B/Blues flavor. In fact, 6 & 7 musically have a very abstract feeling to the sound. Bobby is out front and the backbeat is there, but the rest seems to be presented with an almost eerie feel to it.
Track 8 - Up In Here and 9 - We Had Love, have made the transition to the R&B/Blues side while track 10 - Hot Air, an instrumental, showcases Bobby's ability to blow some fine harp.
So, no matter what Bobby Rush style of music you like, you will find it on this album. And although it may not be his best effort, after 40 years, he's still at it and doing it all!!"
