"Warning: These are not Bobby Rydell's original Cameo recordings. In fact, none of Cameo's back catalog (which also includes Chubby Checker, The Orlons, The Dovells, and Dee Dee Sharp, among others) is legitimately available domestically or as an import. As an avid fan of Fifties and Sixties pop music, I have purchased import albums of several of Cameo's artists--including a 1994 Rydell collection called "All the Boppin' Hits" on the Bar Records label. When I compare them to the few original Cameo singles I have it seems to be legit, but this Prestige release is all re-recordings. Just last month Collectors' Choice Music released a 25-track collection entitled "Bobby Rydell On Capitol." But by the time he began recording for Capitol in 1964, the British Invasion had ended Rydell's reign on the pop charts. Only "Diana" and "I Just Can't Say Goodbye" hit the charts, and that was at No. 98 and No. 94 respectively. We can only hope that whoever owns the Cameo/Parkway masters will eventually see fit to take the tapes out of the vault and release these artists' music in the original versions they were meant to be heard. In the meantime, this release is a poor substitute for the real thing."

"After placing one order over a year earlier, giving up on delivery, then placing a second order and waiting over four months for delivery of this CD, it was a smashing disappointment! These are later recordings of Rydell's great hits, and pale imitations of the originals. What a waste of time and money!"

"Wonderful collection of songs, poorly remastered and badly recorded. If you love the music, you will hate this album."
