"This is not a slavish tribute to Nat Cole. It's a tribute of spirit. Bobby Scott's singing couldn't be more unlike Cole's, except that it is likewise impeccable and full of feeling and swing. Scott's piano playing is soulful and stylish. My wife and I have listened to this CD a score of times over several years, mainly late in the evening, with a fire going, and a nightcap. It's like being at a very cool jazz club with this amazing quartet that nobody's ever heard of playing just for you. If you're reading this review, you probably know this already. If not, let me persuade you. Get this now, before, sadly, it may not be available at all."

"Some are Cole Porter and a variety of others, but all are very good. This is the CD to have between the 2 although you'll buy this and then go out and find the 2nd. I continue to look for this as I only have the tape. He has the raspy piano jazz bar voice, but it comes out smooth on thee songs. If you've been to a jazz bar and they had a slow mellow payer near a waterfront and the wine was good, thats exactly what you'll think about the entire CD."
