"Out of two volumes this one is definitely the better one. They are a recording of the 2 night concert these four men gave in Monterrey, N.L, México, this CD is of the second night. Mr. Di Blasio shows more of his accompanying abilities as he is the pianist for his three contemporaries with light synthesized strings and rhythmn section, not to say that his virtuosity is not shown off in every one of them. Out of the three vocalist my favorite is the maestro Armando Manzanero, whose songs are the majority of the repertoire these men sing. For myself the best song on the entire CD is number 15: Ahora by Armando Manzanero, I concur with Raúl Di Blasio when he says that this is his favorite out of the countless Don Manzanero has given the world. José José is a beloved singer of the Mexican people but his voice is not even a shadow of what it used to be when he was at the peak of his career decades ago. His interpretations of his most beautiful songs were nontheless well done and enjoyable. As for Don Marco Antonio Muñiz, his voice is a robust mellow older mans voice that takes an acquired taste to enjoy, this CD was not his best performance but just his name along with his three artistic companions makes this CD a treasure to have of four of the biggest and older names of the 20th century in Latin American music. ¡Y que viva México!"
