CD ReviewsColorful CD by a wonderful young asian composer! Artafficiando | Chicago, USA | 06/16/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "Prior to listening to this recording, I previously heard one of this young composer's works at Millennium park in Chicago. I was really impressed with the color, scope and variety of his composition, and I have been eager to hear more since then.
This CD is a mix of orchestral, wind band, and solo cello and piano works, all of which are top notch pieces that show off Prangcharoen's skill to his very best. Both performances of the young musicians Nick Dinnerstein (cello) and Christopher Janwong McKiggan show great flair to exemplify the virtuosic nature of Prangcharoen's pieces, and Andeas Baumgartner and Sarah McKoin bring out great colors and control out of there respective ensembles. One cannot go wrong with purchasing this CD - five stars! May we see more recordings of this composer in the near future!" |
