"really good effort by a regional group and the author of the book. varied in presentation. a musical roller coaster ride. i even hear the strains of page and plant's "no quarter". solid vocals. not as rowdy as previous BIL cds not to say that rowdy is bad. there is a maturity previously not shown. good job."
Top 1%, but not the way the band usually is.

"Once you realize that this is a concept album performed by Boiled in Lead, rather than a Boiled in Lead album, you can sit back and enjoy. The song mix is varied in style but consistant in quality. The one trad piece, Ugros, which is pretty much what you expect from BiL, stands out from the original tracks because it is not original. The full text of the novel is on the disk, if you have a computer to access it.Buy it and listen, but buy something else as well."
