"The third albulm from Bolt Thrower just Brutal. Jo Bench does a superb job wth the bass. the guitars but new meaning to the term dual Guitarist! Andy Whale pounds the percussion in like a Cannon Barage and the vocal the low deep Gurgle done nicely in that old school grind core style. like so many other bands of that era. this albulm redefines the melodice brutal heavy side of Metal. Dark and brutal. War Master is a superb produced Peice. A must have for Guitar and or Death Metal Fans!!!"

"Bolt Thrower is not well known at all, as you can see from only 10 or 11 reviews, yet they might be the best kept secret of Death (or Doom Metal) that is around. I consider them to be one of the Heavist bands ever, and even though their second effort "Realm of Chaos" is faster then the speed of light, they have slowed it down yet the music is so full of energy with bone crunching guitar riffs, and excellent Drum work. Out of all BT albums, I belive War Master to be the best (second to For Victory) If you love Heavy Music, you are really missing out on one of my favorite Metal Bands. Check this out if ya dare..ENJOY"
Underrated Death Metal Masterpiece

"Bolt Thrower is a band that I believe deserved a bunch more credit for what they have done over the past almost 20 years. With their 3rd album, "Warmaster", the band further develops their sound and steers more towards an epic direction. "Realm of Chaos", their sophomore album, was an album that focused more on grindcore than death metal. This is where the band breaks through and assaults.
The vocals really tend to stand out, as they are dark, but not the infamous "Cookie Monster" growl. And with the recruitment of a talented female bassist and amazing guitars and blastbeats, this is something I can't really describe. Check it out for yourself. If you enjoy bands like Obituary and Pestilence, buy this."

"CD includes one additional track not originally on the cassette release. Good to see this is available on CD. Would have ranked as 5 stars if it was a re-mastered release. This would be a highly recommended purchase if you liked Napalm Death - Diatribes/Fear Emptiness Dispair.
