CD Reviews

Best Folk/Alternative CD this side of the Mississippi
09/11/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The music will have you stompin' your feet and singing along in no time. From the beautiful lyrics of 'Sweet Bye and Bye', to the fun whimsical 'Fish in the Sea', everyone's musical appetite will be satisified. Many of these songs were written for and about their own family members and it makes the songs that much more real to the listener. The 'Salvation Song' may just be the soothing balm for your soul. Of course the best way to hear Bonepony is LIVE! But since many of us fans don't get to Nashville very often, this album can ease your cravings for another taste of Bonepony!"
Stomp On!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I first heard Bonepony in June of 1999. They blew my away at a concert I attended, and Traveler's Companion hasn't been far from my CD player since. Highlights from the CD include "The Crush", "Knees", "Mountainside", and "Savanna Flowers". Actually, each track is a highlight in and of itself, as each song is lyrically and musically distinct. I highly recommend adding this CD to your collection - You will not be sorry! ...They are incredible live!"
Music at its finest

(5 out of 5 stars)

"After the great CD Stomp Revival, the band has outdone itself with 13 more tracks of acoustic rock at it's finest. With guest names like Lucinda Williams and Reece Wynans, BonePony has put together a CD that you can listen to hundreds of times and not get tired of it."
