Having been involved in the Austin Texas experimental music scene for over 20 years, Carlton Crutcher and his band Book Of Shadows creates music of the highest order, and so it proves on their latest release "You Were Seen in a Time Machine". Ambient and eerie drone with haunting female vocals calls out to those in the beyond. As a testament to musical creation, Book of Shadows plays only improvisational pieces and never twice. Carlton Crutcher (former founding member of the Austin experimental group ST 37) and his wife Sharon Crutcher work along side current members: Aaron Bennack, Eric Archer, Matthew Thies, Jonathan Horne, Douglas Ferguson, Johnny Mccollom and Ralph White, to create moving and powerfully magical music, uniquely transporting the listener into beautiful and strange otherworldly dimensions.
