Finally, an eclectic piece of music

"Boom Boom Satellites have always been this enigma in American culture. I was introduced to them as an opening act during Moby's first part of the "Play" tour -- just before Moby became a mainstream smash. Ever sine then, I have been fasinated by their sense of imagination in where electronic music can go.This album is no exception. "Photon" offers the same idea of jazz, rock, and hip hop mixed and rolled into the electronic back drop that artists like BT and Moby are famous for. It's a shame that these guys haven't been 'discovered' by an American audience as innovated music makers, but that's what makes them beatiful. If there's anyone who wants to get lost in something "progressive" in electronic music -- this is album is definately it."
So many good things

"Both of Boom Boom Satellites' previous albums were just excellent, and "Photon" continues in this tradition. I cannot say enough good things about this CD. The first track is a slow build into the driven "Light My Fire" which features a guest female singer (Dice I believe) that is also present on another song called "40-Forty". "Light My Fire" just grabs you and doesn't let go. "Let it Lift" almost sounds like it could be on modern rock radio, but if it were it would stand tall amongst the mostly generic garbage. If you enjoyed either "Out Loud" or "Umbra" especially since this record seems to have a similar dark sounding tone, you must have this!"

"Excelent CD. They have a lot more vocal songs than out loud or umbra. The music is basicly japanese rock blended with futuristic techno. The guest singer on two of the tacks realy brings out a different dimension to their music. The import is a bit expensive but its worth it."
