"Boondox's Punkinhead EP will keep you listening and in anticipation for his next project.
There are 5 new tracks, well 4 minus the Intro, and 2 remixes from The Harvest. This EP is short and devastating.
"Resurrection" is a short scary intro warning of what inevitably leads to the resurrection of a nightmare.
"Punkinhed" is the devastating title track. Boondox captured the legendary monster and wrapped the beast up into an amazing track. If Pumpkinhead could have written a song and rapped about where he came from, it would sound similar to this.
"Sleep Stalker" is along the same lines as ICP's "Sleep Walker", in it Boondox doesn't want to go to sleep because he wakes up to murder scenes and has the same problem as Violent J did where every time he falls asleep or closes his eyes somebody dies. Violent J comes in on the chorus for this track.
"Southern Nights" took a few listens but it's another cool track, there's a really good dueling harmonica and sliding guitar break in this song that's awesome and Violent J's all over this track.
"Suffering" is another great track, it has the same feel as "She's in the River" from The Harvest. In the song Boondox has a love interest and keeps her close by, torturing and making her suffer before she ultimately meets her untimely death, I must say Boondox comes off as quite the lady's man on these types of tracks.
REMIXES
"They Pray With Snakes" & "Seven" - I cant say enough about these remixes, they're remixes of tracks that are already great, some may look at the song list and see these tracks as filler tracks for the cd, but no, these remixes are amazing just like the rest of the entire Punkinhed EP, they're not to be overlooked because they complete the album and go over nice with the EP as a whole.
Overall, Boondox's Punkinhed EP is extremely dark and wicked.
Pumpkinhead himself would have to give Boondox props for the justice he gave to this legendary monster."

"Boondox is the best thing Psychopathic Records has to offer these days, sure ICP and Twiztid are still capable of dropping a decent track but as anyone who has purchased their latest albums can tell you their album quality is starting to waver. I think the 'Tempest' only had two songs worth listening to. Boondox on the other hand has yet to record a bad song. His first album 'The Harvest' was an instant classic and I was kind of concerned that his next work wouldn't be able to live up to its greatness. Boy, did he prove me wrong. Ok, yeah...This isn't a full album...It's an EP...but there still is not a single bad track on this disc.
PunkinHed has seven tracks (an intro, two remixes, and four new tracks) and as I've already stated, not one of these can be considered bad. I've been bumpin' Sleep Stalker and the Seven Remix non-stop since I broke the plastic.
BUY THIS CD! It is a must for all rap fans especially Juggalos."

"PunkinHed to me is a teaser to Krimson Kreek. I think that these tracks may have been unreleased from The Harvest and/or Krimson Kreek, so they just used them as a fresh CD to tide juggalos over.
The CD starts with a creepy "Intro", with some chanting and whatnot...getting us ready for PunkinHed to arrive. "PunkinHed" has the lead character in the Cd about to get revenge on city slickers! There are some rituals and spells about to take place, to turn the rivers red! City folk be warned! "Sleep Stalker" starts with an outtake of those animals speak n says we used to have as kids and that is creepy enough...LOL! Then he starts going on to talk about killing people in his sleep. Violent J has an eerie hook on the chorus.
"Southern Nights" get us ready for a party, southern style! Get out the clogs and flannel get ready for the ho' down! Call family together, time to drink! We want to go back to the days of chillin on the front porch shooting off bottle rockets and getting drunk! The harmonica adds to the southern feel of the jam! "Suffering" is really deep! How many times have the juggalos suffered persecution at the hands of haters. we feel like we want to get raw on mutha fackos! He makes this chick realize how good she has it, so he cold cocks her in the head! There is also a deep sexual innuendo here.
The CD ends with 2 remixes. "The Pray With Snakes" ReMix is awesome, perhaps even better than the original version. The intro is very well done on this, sort of like the start of a scary movie. The music is darker too. "Seven" ReMix is darker too than the original, the vocals have been redone and the tempo has been sped up. Then it seems more like a dark poem, than a rap, but fresh nonetheless.
All in all this is a cool EP to pick up. BoonDox and Mike E. Clark really stepped up their game on production and this CD is very well done."
