"If some of foreigners may not know about Boowy, but in Japan Boowy was one of the most famouse rock band. The reason that I wrote "was" is because Boowy broke up already. But they did many important role on Japanese music scene.



Boowy consisted of five men members, vocal was Kyosuke Himuro who is active as famouse Jpop singer now, guitar was Tomoyasu Hotei who is active as one of the most famouse Japanese guitarist, bass was Tunematsu Matsui and drums was Makoto Takahashi.

Their debut was about 1980. their first carrer music style was just punk sounds. But from about 1984 they added British taste to their music stance, and since that they got to be pop and rock band. On Japanese music scene till the middle of 80' rock sounds were un-popular genre. But by their activity Japanese rock got to be major genre and be admited by many Japanese.

On such mean, Boowy achieved very important role on Jpop.



Gray that is one of the most famouse band on present Jpop say that the band that they have received the hardest influence is Boowy.



When I move my eyes to foreign music, on playing technique Boowy may not be perfect band. But in the mean of the origin of many present Jpop band, fully Boowy have the value to listening.



By the way, this album is a live performance album, besides their last live. The another reason that Boowy got to be a legend band was because they dared to break up in the middle of the most famouse age so that Boowy got to be single chart No1.

The live was played at Tokyo Dome"Big Egg". Tokyo Dome is professional baseball stagium and can accommodate more than 50000 audiences. They played two days there.

Neverthless such big event, the reservation ticket by telephone were sold out within ten minutes. So NTT(Japanese telephone company) telephone line punctured. Incredible event.



Because the place was very big, their reflecting sounds after the sounds hit to wall make my mind reflesh. Some of their songs are great, needless to say, but so the greatest song will be Clody Heart. The sentimental melodies so that I express very well is just Jpop for Jpop.



Anyway, in the point of understanding Japanese music scene, Boowy is the artist who sould listen without fail.



I am writing about Japanese music mainly, if there are foreigners who are familiar with Jpop by this writing, I am very happy.
