"Wow!
That is the one word that explains this album. He has amazing, insightful lyrics and accomplishes what most artists of today can't.....accountability and raw emotion. I heard one song of Brandon's and fell in love with the whole album shortly after buying it. You will not be wasting your money if you buy this album. Give him a listen. All this album will do is Bless YOU in return. God Bless < A+++++
Here is a listing of my favorite songs in order of my faves:
1)I'M NOT WHO I WAS~ This track is my favorite because it is an anthem song for my life~~! I love the part where he says, " I write about love and such, maybe 'cuz I want it so much.
2)LET'S MAKE IT LAST ~ AMAZING!!!! I want this love song to be played at my wedding! So heartfelt it makes me wanna marry Brandon~ He knows what he is talking about. ; )

4)STEADY NOW ~ This is a great song. The Beat is super mellow and catchy! You will find yourself getting lost in his melodies.
5)THE LIGHT~ This song speaks from the heart to the heart! This is a song of redemption and faithfulness~ BEAUTIFUL
6) BEAUTY DIVINE~ Yet another BEAUTIFUL song~ This one is for the end of the day~ can easily be used during prayer time or journal time

A Battle Not to Fight

"Brandon Heath's "Don't Get Comfortable" is a bubbly mix of positive music. Many tracks are overtly Christian. The opener "Steady Now" is one of the best tracks with catchy hooks and Brandon's boy-band friendly vocals, "We don't have to wait until the end of the night just to say that something's wrong & maybe nobody's right; We're all victims in a battle we never had to fight." The other shining star is the title track with its driving beat and Brandon's convincing vocals, "You don't have to be afraid even if you make mistakes; You know that I'll remain." Other tracks like the closer "I Will Lay You Down" & "You Decide" are also good. Most of this CD is excellent, well worth seeking out. Enjoy!"
Noteworthy Entrance on the CCM scene

"I just bought Brandon Heath's "Don't Get Comfortable" after hearing "Not Who I Was" on the radio. He has an excellent voice and several of his songs are stirringly insightful. "Our God Reigns" is an excellent worship song. This guy just might be the next Jeremy Camp (minus the biceps) :) I give it four stars instead of five because, personally, I prefer a harder rock sound. But that, obviously, isn't what he was out to give on this album. For this genre, it really is an excellent album.

"Wow, what can I say, its really awesome. I honestly just picked this up without any previous exposure to Brandon, I was pleasantly surprised, he reminds me of a cross between Goo goo dolls and the Backstreet Boys. Its very laid back, certainly beach worthy. Do try it, its awesome, plain awesome."
Solid Debut for Dove Award Winner

"Brandon Heath followed in the footsteps of fellow Best New Artist Dove Award Winner Aaron Shust (2007) by winning the same award for 2008. Buoyed by the great success of the stand-out single I'm Not Who I Was, he followed the same singer-songwriter path as Aaron with his stand-out single My Savior, My God, which was also song of the year (2007). If you like Bebo Norman, Matthew West and Mat Kearney, then you should truly enjoy Brandon Heath.
Don't Get Comfortable is a very solid debut album and I've been enjoying it for a couple of years now. The first 2 songs Steady Now and Simple Man really showcase Brandon's autobiographical and catchy writing style. For me the whole album flows very nicely with a mix of worship songs like Our God Reigns and the last song Beauty Divine and in addition to the great I'm Not Who I Was, I also really enjoy the title track. If you like personal and challenging lyrics with nice melodies and the occasional R&B drumbeat, then you'll really like Brandon Heath.
