CD ReviewsHot , Sassy, Satisfying... Dream Maiden | Dallas, Texas | 07/16/2007 (5 out of 5 stars) "just like the best breakfast ever, you will absolutely love this album. It came out in the 80's but I discovered it in the mark down bend some years later. I have 2 copies of this album on cassette tape and have bought copies for several of my family members and friends..yes it's that good!!! Breakfast Club was a backup band for Madonna when she first started and sorry to say these guys were not recieved by the listening audience like they should have been. They have not to this day recorded another album. If you like music for the pure listening pleasure, you will love this CD. Enjoy your Breakfast, Club that is!!!" Nice overlooked late 80s pop album. Benjamin R. Higginbotham | Rockwall, TX | 07/01/2007 (4 out of 5 stars) "I faintly remember hilarious video for "Right On Track" getting played on Mtv back in '87 when I was a kid. Recently the video appeared on VH1 classic and I decided to find a copy of the album and give it a chance. I really like the dance-pop/electric funk sound of this album. Very well produced. I really love what Steven Bray did with this album and Madona's True Blue. A solid album all the way through, I usually skip "Expressway to your heart", but every other track is gold! They also did a song for the movie "License To Drive".
If you like dance pop with catchy synth melodies, you should give this album a chance. Also check out "Johnny Hates Jazz", and "The Blue Nile" for more great late 80s tunes." |
