"What a great voice she has! Sweet, broken, loud, soft, loud... every thing to make a ballad sound magnificently.
Only a native from Georgia (as Brenda) can sing Georgia On My Mind with that sincere emotion, I know the original and several versions of Funny How Time Slips Away, Brenda's rendition is absolutely the best of all, listen to Sweet Memories, Crying Game, I Left My Heart in San Francisco, just to mention a few of this excellent compilation.
I listen to this CD over and over and never get tired, each time it is a pleasure.
I have the CD that Brenda recorded in 1991; I wait for another CD of new recordings. Hey producers: don't miss the opportunity, you find a voice like hers only once in a lifetime.
I also wait for another compilation like this one, without the current hits of Brenda that, of course, I already have too."
The best sings the best

"Brenda Lee is a national treasure, and this CD shows why. She's completely at home singing classic ballads, and even though many are stamped indelibly with the mark of the artists who introduced or popularized them, Brenda makes each of them her own. Her versions of "In The Mood For Love", "Georgia on my mind", "I Left My Heart in San Francisco", "You Were Always On My Mind" and "For The Good Times" are just wonderful -- as is every song that's on this CD. I can only hope that this CD sells as well as it deserves, and that it serves as an impetus for some smart record company to get Miss Lee back in the recording studio for a sequel, recorded in the '90's. Her new gospel CD proves the voice is as golden as ever."
Splendor, glamour, beauty, versatility, and velvet voice!
"
What else may you request of a singer? She was the sum of these adjectives and even more, according to trustworthy testimonies of people much older than me who had the honor to appreciate her craft in live performances.
Few singers have the requested versatility and the necessary voice to get that so well know pieces of the repertoire sound so fresh and rich.
Brenda Lee is a singer which offers us every sound as we had not ever listened never before, being that hard to find quality the basis of his applauded popularity.
It has been said about her, she was a very dedicated artist in every detail; yes indeed. she and Connie Francis incarnated the essential profile of the beloved sixties girl. One of my loves of youth and remind this comment of Jimmy Mc Hugh composer of Don't blame that "she was in those ages the number one singer in the world" .

"Whether it's the 1960's or 90's this CD remind's you of why the term "Miss Dynamite" was titled in her name. Taken from the Decca vaults, these tunes are just a sampling of what is still needing to be heard from this legend. These songs encompass what Miss Lee is most famous for , her ballads of love. This compilation has given the listener the versatile vocal stylings of songs that will long stand the test of time from the incredible voice of Brenda Lee ."
