"This is a collective review, on behalf of the band KEY WEST. We each have a copy of Brent's CD, and we love it! The songwriting is superb, and Brent has a really clever sense of humor (see, "If It's Snowbird Season, Why Can't We Shoot 'Em"). The best cut on the album, though, is probably "Vacation". It's very catchy, and it will get you moving. We've had the chance to perform with Brent a couple of times in the last few months, and we can tell you that he's a real nice guy, in addition to being a very good musician / songwriter. Bet you didn't know that he plays harmonica too. Anyway, we highly recommend that you buy a copy or two of "Livin' the Life That Jimmy Buffett Only Wrote About". You won't be disappointed!Review by Arthur Ford, Frank Randazzo, Tod Stark, Mark Hammond, Jerry Diaz, and Matt Bell; KEY WEST-the band..."
Reminds me of what Buffett Used to be...

"Having grown up in Louisiana in the mid to late seventies, I have been a fan of Buffett's since 1977. Back when his music had a laid back, "come what may" feel about it. His tremendous success seems to have kind of put him out of touch with the beach bum attitude that put him on the map to begin with. Alas, Brent Burns to the rescue! This CD has that certain beach "feel" to it that the early Buffett albums had. It all boils down to being able to tell a really good story in a musical way.Since my family and I vacation in Gulf Shores, AL every year, I'll be sure to try and check out one of his live performances. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. The Gulf Shores/Pensacola area seems to be attacting some really good live acts recently with this "tropical" theme that Buffett launched over 20 years ago.For those of you that are really into this type of music, another good act to catch if you're down that way (they also have several CD's available) is a group from Texas called "Key West". Like Brent Burns, they seem to have that "island fever" that Mr. Buffett has obviously found the cure for with jets, broadway plays and mega $$$."
PARROTHEADS LOOSEN UP

"After reading reviews on this this album, I decided to buy it. Being 50 years old and having every song that Jimmy Buffett ever recorded (some not so good), I wanted to see what fellow parrotheads were objecting to. SUPRISE - BRENT BURNS IS GOOD. He's laid back, humorous and makes fun of anybody he wants and this makes for a fun album. Guess who else made fun of anybody he wanted to and also made fun albums (intials are J.B.). By the way Jimmy isn't from Florida either!!!"
Great way to start the day

"The music is so much fun, and the lirics are brilliant. I think the world would be a better place if everyone would start off one day a week by listening to this CD. I do it on Saturday mornings while I get ready for my day. It gets me started in a great mood and I catch myself singing the tunes all day long! I'm going to order a few more for Christmas gifts. I hope Brent has plans for a new CD soon."
Awesome
