"The "Music Machine" CD began its life as a record (remember those?) and, in our household, it was so loved and played that it had to be replaced at least once. Now that it is available on CD, I am sending it to the new generation of "little kids" in our family. This is a wonderful collection of "life lessons" on topics like gentelness, patience, kindness, faithfullness... you get the picture. The music is well written, singable and great fun. It is NOT the anoying repetitive dribble that gets stuck in your head and makes you want to run screaming from the house, the kind that seems to dominate the "children's music" arena today. This music has been loved and played over and over by 3 generations of our family. This is music with a message that everyone can relate to. If we raise our children with the values of loving kindness and acceptance that these songs teach (NOT preach) the world will definately improve. This classic is a "must have" for any household with children, ages birth -106!"

"THE MUSIC MACHINE: FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT was one of my favorite records growing up (along with Bullfrogs and Butterflies, Down By The Creek Bank, and Super Gang).
Stevie and Nancy are two children who are introduced to the conductor and his music machine. This music machine that likes to "whurr whurr chicka chicka bum bum zzzt" before playing songs for the children to sing along with.
Songs include A Land Called Love, Music Machine, The Whistle Song, Smile, The String Song, Patience, Gentleness, Faith, Joy, Peace, Goodness, Love, Self Control, and Kindness.
My favorites include Patience (the song about Herbert the snail) and Self Control."
Glad it's still available!!!

"I remember sitting for hours, as a little girl, with the book and record and enjoying all of it! Now (about 25 years later) what amazes me is I still know all the songs and just the other day I rocked my niece to sleep singing a couple of the songs of this album!....You can imagine how thrilled I am to see I can buy it for my nieces and nephews and my own kids someday!!! It teaches so many good lessons in the form of songs...lessons I still remember today. When I'm driving a bit fast and impatient I can't help but think of the "patience" song with Herbert the snail and I slow down. A must have!!!"
I've looked for this for years!

"My children are all grown and married now with children of their own. I bought this back in 1977 from a salesman who knocked on the door. It cost about twenty dollars for the set of records. My husband said never buy from a door to door salesman! It turned out to be my childrens favorite album ever. They listened to it over and over, especially Herbie the snail.:) Now that I have grandchildren I've been on a mission to find this. Thanks to Amazon and my never-give-up attitude, I found it and sent it to my grandchildren for Christmas. It's a wonderful lesson in love, patience, kindness, etc. All the good things that kids need to grow up learning about. My daughters were thrilled when I told them I found the Music Machine. Your kids will love it!"
So happy

"I am so happy to find this CD. I was looking for this because I remember having this on cassette as a child. I wanted to get this for my little brother and myself. I found a VHS tape on Music Machine, but it was nothing like this CD. This is a great CD to have."
