Hitting his Stride.......

"This about his tenth cd and he's really beginning to get my attention. I do a community radio program in Lincoln,NE (KZUM) and we get a good deal of cds by artists that are just off the musical radar. Some artists like J.P.Jones have quite a backlog of material, Brooks falls into this category. His cd Blues and Ballads is worthwhile but the ones prior to that have not 'grabbed' me. The title track, Rich Tonite and the hidden track, Same Old Me, are particularly good and as such will be featured on my end of the year show - Looking Back at 2008. This cd has a bit of J. J Cale feel to it."
