Dark, disturbing and wonderful...

"At last, the almost mythical 'Haackula' from the late Bruce Haack has been officially released.
Bruce Haack is primarily known for the electronic rock album 'The Electric Lucifer' and the string of Dimension 5 childrens records he released with Esther Nelson in the 1960's and early 1970's.
However, 'Haackula' is in no way a childrens record!
Bruce was down and dirty on this recording. His obvious anger with the music industry as well as his battles with personal demons comes to head and explodes like an aural painting by Heronimous Bosch or William Blake!
This recording was definitely 30 years ahead of its time. It gives us a rare glimpse into the mind of a tortured genius.
The extras are a blast!
'Party Machine' is fun and should have been a Hip Hop classic!
'Icarus' gives Haack fans a chance to listen to an instrumental soundscape created from Bruce's homebased and mostly homemade electronic music studio.
I only hope that more of Bruce Haack's recordings will be reissued with the care and quality of this album.
