"This is an outstanding CD. Featuring mainly piano with a few accompanying drums, this album is a pleasure to listen to from beginning to end. The melodies are beautiful, and Brulé successfully and quite effortlessly transports the listener to another land.Despite not normally associating Native American music with the piano, the album works really well and is, in my opinion, Brulé's best work. It is also, by far, the most accessible to the general public.Particular favourites are tracks 2,4 and 7, but there are no weak tracks on this album. The only disappointment with this purchase is the short play-time (about 38 minutes), but if, like me, you believe quality is more important than quantity, this shouldn't be much of an issue. The recording quality is impressive.A treat from beginning to end. Very highly recommended."

"This is my first Brule CD and it captured me from the beginning with its hauntingly beautiful instrumentals. Piano is highlighted but is not solo, this a fabulous collaboration of accompaning instruments.
I am a huge Craig Chaquico fan, and this CD fits right in with that genere of music. I keep this in my bedroom CD player and hit "random play" whenever I am in there, so I don't tire of hearing the same songs in the same order.
The CD has fewer songs than most CDs, but that is not a negative. Because it is shorter, I tend to listen to it more often. Every song is beautiful."
Splendid Native American Piano Music

"Despite not normally associating the piano with Native American music, this CD works really well. The melodies are some of the most beautiful I have heard, and the quality of sound is of the highest order.
The music is highly accessible. The piano is the prominent instrument, with occasional light chanting.
In a collection of over 300 CDs, this is right at the top of my favourites pile.
This CD is short (about 38 minutes in length), but if you believe, like me, that quality is more important than quantity, then you won't be disappointed.
I cannot recommend this CD highly enough. Put simply, it is beautiful."

"I was fortunate on Easter Sunday, year 2000, in beautiful Sedona, Arizona to see and hear Paul LaRoche, and "Our Family" play and perform...He informed me that this CD was particulary useful for the effects it would have during massage therapy, or just easy listening. However, I find that all of his music is especially wonderful and soothing, and brings forth many emotions..I love it, and his style."
