"I recently purchased a used copy of this album at an online auction house for quite a bit more than it's on sale for here. (Shoot.) It's still worth every penny. Bryan Duncan's 1989 album still holds up musically (except for "Don't You Wanna Rap" which was NEVER in style - sorry Bry - but after 10 years, I finally got the joke). Notable songs include adult contemporary hit "Stand In My Place", smooth "Strong Medicine", intimately jazzy "Lies Upon Lies", and joyful "Hand It Over". Every song has an infectious hook and are very sing-alongable. If you're a BD fan, you'll really dig this project!"
BRYAN'S STRONG MEDICINE IS THE BEST!!

"Strong Medicine is the first CD I listened to from Bryan Duncan...........over and over and over again until I wore it out (but actually it was not on CD it was on cassette). I ABSOLUTELY WANT THIS ON CD!!! I agree with the last person who wrote in. It would be ashame if this album was not re-released. Although I most of the music he has ever done (ON CD) STRONG MEDICINE IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST!!!"
Life changing

"In this world we suffer loss and pain. Bryan's songs share the loss and pain that God also suffered. You are drawn close to Him as you listen to these wonderful songs. You will be inspired. Your life may be changed - mine was."
Absolutely GREAT!!!

"This was my first expierience with Christian music and it was my mom's cassette, which I confiscated 5 years ago. I've listened to it so much that I've worn it out. So happy that I could find it on CD."
An oldie, but ABSOLUTELY a goodie!!

"This is one of the first few albums that began to let the whole world know of Bryan Duncan's wonderful abilities as an entertainer and his AMAZING voice....His eloquent choice in lyrics will rivet you...and his smooth voice will make you stay for more! The songs that get the heaviest rotation in my stereo are "Recognize a lover from a thief" and the bluesy (I LOVE blues) "Lies upon lies"....Though "Strong Medicine" is not yet formatted to CD, the manufacturer would do GREAT justice in re-releasing the album to have it redone in quality CD format. If "Have Y.self Committed" & "Holy Rollin'" can be resurrected from dusty old LP'S to CD's, why not this one?...But until then "Strong Medicine" will be lost, buried underneath a sea of second rate, no-name, crazy-quilt mix of albums in the bargain basement bin of the local wannabe-music store...And worse, fated as a cassete!! Like treasure buried underneath a shipwreck...and miles and miles of sea never to be heard from again...Unfortunately it's looks as if THIS album will share the same fate..."
