Two or three outstanding tracks (Takin Care of Business, Rolling down the highway) remain great, the rest have sort of lost some of their impact over time. Musicianship is good, not great - sort of album it's nice to have through CD Swap!

Great hard-drivin' classic rock -- makes me happy to hear it coming out of my CD player, as I boogie around doing the housework. Long live rock 'n' roll!

"Bachman Turner Overdrive was formed from the roots of Guess Who with members Randy Bachman and Chad Allen, who left before he performed in any songs on this disc. The list of songs on this site is kinda screwed up so here is the track listings:1. Gimme Your Money Please: 8/10 Their first song, it is okay but good considering it was their first song as BTO2. Blue Collar: 8/10 Overlong, but I like the solo at the end.3. Takin' Care of Business 10/10 BTO at their best.4. Let It Ride 10/10 Great song, but is never played on the radio.5. Roll On Down the Highway 10/10 Another great song that is never played on the radio, you can see what a great guitarist Randy Bachman is by the solo at the end.6. You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet 10/10 Great song, tenth highest selling heavy metal single ever!7. Hey You! 9/10 Good song, no relation to the Pink Floyd song.8. Take It Like a Man 8/10 Solid song with Little Richard on backing vocals and paino9. Looking out for #1 9/10 I changed this one from seven to nine because it is one of those songs that gets better with age. Check out C. F. Turner on slide guitar. Also a nice solo at the end.10. Shotgun Rider 9/10 A western song? Doesn't match their personality, but is still a cool song and a great acoustic solo at the end.11. I'm In Love 3/10 Worthless song only notable because it has Jim Clench on bass who replaced Randy Bachman and also first song as BTO.12. Heartaches 8/10 Last BTO charted song.It has all of their good songs, too bad Randy Bachman left or they could have had many more."

"Decent compilation, even though it really tails off after track 8. My advice would be to save your cash on this one and pluck down the extra money on the 2 disc "BTO Anthology" set."

"Made in USA in 2000, Serial# 314-548-096-2, Playing Time 53:51This CD lifts songs from the band up to their 10th album, "Rock N' Roll Nights", released back in 1979.Some great songs, a lot of hits. Just a bit disappointed that the people at Universal couldn't come up with another 20 minutes of material.BTO isn't about musicianship: it's about non-pretentious, simple but footstompin' energy, with ordinary sounds but fun to listen to. Who hasn't heard "Takin' Care Of Business" ?Put the CD in, press the play button, and prepare yourself for about an hour of pleasure. If you like rock from the 70's, this one's a treat!"

"I Want to tell all those reading this review that B.T.O have been underated, their sound was very unique,a bit "CCR,STONES"ETC.Randy Bachman has always had the gift of finding writing creative "HOOKS,CHORD PROGRESIONS"&sharing vocals with C.F"Fred"Turner,The later of the two, very underated! ,Randy Bachman,as solid of a guitarist as you'll find on this planet, had the pleasure of working with 2 of the finnest vocalists in "ROCK&ROLL"history, the formentioned Fred Turner&Burton Cummings,IE;:The Guess Who.With Randy leaving the TGW IN 1970,had already released a Instrumental LP,on RCA intitled "AXE",he eventually ended up working with originall GUESS WHO co-founder&lead vocalist Chad Allan, later bringing in Randy's two younger brothers,Robin&Tim,proceeded by other Bachman brother Gary, whom was the groups early manager, suggested Fred Turner, this sprung into the group BRAVE BELT and later into what we now know as BACHMAN-TURNER-OVERDRIVE/B.T.O} A little history leason for you!I recomend this CD. TO ANYONE WHO IS WANTING TO GET AQUAINTED with this groups sound, the"HITS"are all here, although I would have picked others.Anyway, you won't be disapointed! Randy Bachman is at this time back together with Burton Cummings&the rest of the RCA/ORIGINAL:GUESS WHO and B.T.O now tours with FRED TURNER,ROBIN BACHMAN,BLAIR THORNTON and a fine Vancouver B.C guitarist by the name of RANDY MURRAY,they continue the groups legacy and are true to its past, with much "GUSTO".To the above mentioned guys,I "THANK YOU FOR THE FEELING"!"

"These guys have such a solid, pulsating unique sound. "Gimme Your Money Please" and "Let It Ride" are such solid oldies as well as the great "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Takin' Care of Business." Guess Who members formed BTO and this album sure does chronicle an important sound of the '60's-70's. Pulsating guitar sweeps with strong drum sync with that raspy lead vocals makes this band one that rocks strong with those who grew up with it and those who discover this legendary sound."
