"I am a real fan of Budgie's first five studio albums. I think "Bandolier" is their best album. This album is unfortunately overproduced. The songs are not as good as before and there's a little phunkier style. I thought that they could have do this kind of album after Bandolier which was so great. I was wrong. Still, there's some great songs, like "Black Velvet Stallion", the title track, and "You're Opening Doors". However, "Anne Neggen" is one of the worst Budgie songs I've ever heard. And it's an opening track! I wonder why they made this kind of album - - - well Black Sabbath failed after "Sabotage" and Led Zeppelin after "Physical Graffiti" - so it's no wonder, I guess.
