"Bullets And Octane-Revelry ***1/2
While far from their strongest album, Revelry is a nice debut from a band that is one of the last true rock n' roll bands left on the earth. With their nice mix of hard rock and classic punk style and groove Bullets And Octane released Revelry, the sound of a band perfecting a dying genre.
'Save Me Sorrow' is nice but was done better on their next album In the Mouth of the Young but none the less a great way to open a debut album. 'Sweet Dreams' is haunting and powerful and no doubt one of the groups best. 'Fallen' presents the great guitar of Daniels which is often over looked. 'Pirates' is no doubt a live favorite with it's "da-da-da-da" chorus and infectious lyrics. 'Bring The House Down' was a sign of things to come from Bullets but also marks the end of the album. The rest of the album while decent is very forgettable and weak.
As a whole Revelry is worth owning if this brand of straight up rock n' roll is your thing, but if not check out their next two albums because they are far better."
