"When I bought this CD, i thought it was the newest ataris album. I have blue skies, broken hearts.. and it is one of my favorite CD's, and I have over 100 punk rock CDs. Anyway, the first four songs are only about 30 seconds each. This was a huge letdown. The CD was only in my stereo for two minutes and i was already on track 5. As it turned out however, the other four ataris songs were just as good as on Blue Skies. Tracks 6 and 7 sound like they came right from Blue Skies. Track 8, the acoustic version of San Dimas High School FootBall Rules, is incredible. While it doesnt pack the intensity of the original, its refreshing to hear the ataris unpluged. The other band, Usless ID is actually really good. I didnt really give it much of a chance because I was still upset about the fact that there was really only 4 ataris songs on it. Usless ID is really good though and i plan to buy some other CD's of them. I would reccommend this CD mainly for hardcore fans of the ataris. If you have never heard them before, get Blue Skies, Broken Hearts, then get this one."
An album mostly for fans

"When you take one of the most talented emo/pop-punk bands around today and combine them with up coming pop-punkers what do you get? You get "Let it burn", a split between Kung-Fu label mates The Ataris and Useless ID. And while this is overall a good album it does have it's positive and negative points. The Ataris kick it off with "The radio...", a hilarious track especially for anyone against mainstream music. Reaching back to their punk roots The Ataris pull off several other gems such as "Blue skies...", "Let it burn" and an acoustic version of "San dimas...". Now I know this a split album, so you come to expect shorter tracks, but The Ataris half wraps up in about 12 minutes which will leave many fans with an empty feeling. The Israeli band, Useless ID steps up to the plate next with an impressive effort and some great songs. Be sure to check out tracks like "Too dad...", "Have a nice life" & "Lost". Unfortunately folks the time has come for me to bring up a few gripes I have with this album. First off, sound quality on a few songs is questionable, especially on "San dimas..." in which Chris Roe almost sounds like hes singing from another room. This was a big let down to say the least, due to the fact this album isn't a bootleg, but an official release. You would think because you're shelling out your hard earned dollars Kung-Fu would at least attempt to remaster some of the songs. In the end there are some things to consider before heading out to buy "Let it burn". If you haven't heard anything from The Ataris or Useless ID prior to purchasing this album you might find yourself dissapointed. Like I mentioned, this is the type of album that will appeal to fans mostly. Overall a pretty solid album from two very solid bands, fans of The Ataris and/or Useless ID shouldn't miss out on this."
Very Good

"I really like this CD. The first 4 Ataris songs are only 30 seconds, which is sort of disappointing, but at least they are good 30 second songs. The other Ataris songs are really good. The acoustic version of San Dimas is great and they cover a Motley Crue song, On With The Show. Useless ID is surpisingly one of the better punk bands I've heard. I didn't expect them to be half as good as they were. Overall this is an incredible CD for all punk fans."
Fairly awful...

"This just isn't a very good CD. Neither of the bands are bad, and the Useless ID side is listenable, but most of the Ataris songs are way too short (around 30 seconds) or way too crappy (the band admits in the liner notes that these are the tracks they decided to leave off of their last album). But, in my opinion, the main problem is that these two bands sound almost exactly like a hundred others. Usually I don't mind The Ataris' generic sound because their music is pretty good, but that's not the case on this disc. Anyway, despite what some would have you believe, neither band (even on their best day) is half as good as the Swingin' Utters."
