"This album should be in the collection of all true music fans. I bought it on a friend's recommendation and it has become a staple. The first thing that grabs you is unique sound of Joe Guerzo's voice...it's so distinct and singular it makes you wonder if it's a secret so good that someone's been purposefully keeping it from you. But then there are his lyrics. Honest and true. Like a favorite author, he has the uncanny knack to take what you think and feel but can't quite express and put it to words...and great melody. The music and players bring it all together wrapping a true songwriter and voice in a package that delivers the goods. If you like gut level rock n' roll, pop-tonk, cosmic american music, pick your tag but Flood City Shootout is true songwriter's and true song listener's music. Four great guys and three great chords."
