"When you have artists like the Busch Quartet, Artur Schnabel and Quatuor Pro Arte performing two of Schubert's best chamber works, you know that the performances are going to be special. What impresses me more is the outstanding remastering job by Michael Dutton. He takes recordings from the 30's and makes them sound great. Not great for that era, or great for mono, but just plain great. I have been impressed by most of Obert-Thorn's work for Naxos, but I must say I was a little let down by some of the discs in the Weingartner Beethoven cycle. I have yet to buy a disc from Dutton that the sound hasn't been stellar. So, you've got two special performances in ideal sound at bargain price. What else could you ask for?"
