"Symphonic Night is an excellent album, on a par with Metallica's latest live record and Motorhead's Louder Than Everybody Else (which featured the Josti Band). Songs like La France, Una Paloma Blance and I Love You Like A Polluted River get a very interesting make-over and sound not a day older dan 1956, when they were first recorded. Carola Smit, by the way, is a very naughty leadsinger, who reminds me not a little of my own wife Gerda: she's got the moves. Check them out, as I now understand they have also been asked to perform the next James Bond-single: What Is A Nice Boy Like You Doing In My Private Place?"
Something else, something very good

"BZN (a very popular Dutch popgroup for over 25 years now) made this album with an orchestra an a choir. The songs are well known from the past and some of them are given lyrics by the members of the band. Songs like Amazing Grace and My friend the wind are very good. Most impressive is Nabucco (from the opera by Verdi). This is an unusual album for BZN, but I think this is one of the best they ever made. In 1998 they recorded another Symphonic Night album (part II). But part I is my favourite."
