Album Description2008 four CD set. This recording was made by the Luxemburg Radio Orchestra and was conducted by Louis de Froment, the ensemble's long-term director and conductor: the orchestra was formed in 1933. Claude Debussy is considered the founding father and most outstanding exponent of musical impressionism: a music style that stands for a wide spectrum of tonal colors, freely-structured forms and a gradual detachment from traditional tonality. Debussy wrote his first orchestral work in Rome in 1884, his last was written in 1915, just three years before his death. Documents.
