One I keep returning to.

"I had not heard much of CPE's keyboard works until I bought this disc. I found it at first a little irritating - some strong repeated motifs seemed to boom out in a few of the movements - but then I became fascinated by the unusual melodies and developments. The pieces are have a strange balance between the orchestra and the tangent piano - while the general playing seems a little too loud, the keyboard part nevertheless manages to push itself to the fore regularly.
Overall the performances are very good, and while I'm not sure if some poeple would criticise the sound balance, I like it just how it is.
It seems as though Spanyi and his concerto have managed to maintain the fine quality through the several discs in this set - to quote a Classics Today reviewer: "Another fine entry in a very important series of recordings.""
