(5 out of 5 stars)

"A Cabaret Voltaire 12" collection from 83 to 87? It's too good to be true. Other than 'Sensoria', everything on here is first time on cd. TWO of the greatest 12" mixes of all time are included here : the neurotic 'Crackdown' and the ultra-violent 'I Want You' - urgent vocals compete with sampled speeches manipulated into torrents of garbled yelps, hiccups and glissandos backed by malicious, hammering beats. There's also the rare non-album single 'Dream Ticket'. 'Don't Argue' is included here but in a different version to the one on "Remixed" - in fact this is the more interesting John Robie mix. Also nice versions of 'Here To Go' and 'Thank You America'. Come to think of it the only other band I can think of that can release a 12" anthology to rival this would be Yello, but that's another story...Reissue of the Year."
