"If you're looking to hear the recordings that most influenced Afro-Latin music and jazz, here they are. This collection appears to be a compilation of recordings from the legendary Cuban jam sessions that have been reissued under many names ("Descargas," "Descargas en Miniature," "Descarga: Cuban Jam Sessions," "Descargas Cubanas: Cuban Jam Sessions Vol.2," "Jam Session with Feeling," and others.
I believe the original releases were on Panart, the Cuban label, under the following names:
Descargas en Miniature
Jam Session with Feeling
Direct releases of these original lps can be found on the Maype label and, apparently, in other places as well.
Recorded in Havana in 1957.
