CD ReviewsThings Have Gone The Calling's Way! Rocky | Iowa, USA | 07/04/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "This c.d. I first hesitated at, for I only heard their one song Our Lives on the radio and worried it would be their only one, but I just love Alex Band's voice and knew I had to get at least one of The Calling's c.d.s just to hear his voice, and Our Lives is just a great song to listen to. And this is a great c.d., with only one or two songs on here I do not like too well. The rest of their songs are powerful and their sound I am hooked on. The background sound and the singer's vocals all blend in to a very pleasant and memorable album. There are a few songs on here I just kept repeating for they are just that addictive, there's even a few stronger songs on here than Our Lives. I highly recommend this c.d. The best songs on here are Our Lives of course, Things Will Go My Way (one of the strongest songs on here and just great- sounding!), Chasing the Sun, Believing, Anything (probably my fav song on here), If Only, and Somebody Out There. The true advice when it comes to these kind of c.d.s is if you hear one single you really love by a band, go and check out their c.d. immediately. If the rest of the c.d. stinks, get the single, but you may just find out most of the c.d. is just as strong as the single." The Calling II is a superior album L. Moss | WA United States | 12/05/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "I enjoyed The Calling's first album and bought their second album expecting it to be good. I was amazed at how incredible this album turned out to be. I truly enjoy this album and consider it one of my favorites and would recommend this album to anyone." Amazing N. J. Carrier | Roseville, CA | 12/16/2005 (5 out of 5 stars) "So I read some reviews, and basically everyone who was a calling lover liked this, and others thought it sucked. Well I have to say "Wherever You Will Go" is pretty much the only song I like of Camino Palmero (there older CD), but I love everything on this album. I think it is definitely their best. "Our Lives" and "Dreaming in Red" are my two favorite. At least for now, this is my favorite CD. I listen to it probably as much as my other 30 or so combined. The lyrics are really good, and they are definitely musically talented. That's hard to find nowadays."
