Album Description"Beautiful, glistening rock with sullen and melodic overtures like violent, emotional windstorms; a shoegazer-influenced spin on experimental Top 40 radio." - Lost at Sea In the summer of 1998, longtime friends and bandmates William Seidel, Ryan Weber and Brian Zimmerman met with Eric Osterman and founded the Milwaukee band Camden. Soon after forming, Camden recorded their first EP with Chris Rosenau (Telecognac, Loomis) in Spring 1999 and began touring in support of their self-titled EP with bands such as Pele, The Gloria Record and Antarctica. In December 1999, they recorded the well-received Reel Time Canvas (Grand Theft Autumn) with Chris Walla (Death Cab for Cutie). Throughout 2000, Camden toured with Death Cab for Cutie and The Promise Ring while headlining a few tours of their own. They recorded four of the six tracks on Pieces of Places with Chris Walla and then suddenly found themselves without a guitarist. Camden imploded and this EP turned into the last release by the band and the first release for Chicago label Brilliante Records!
