Weirdly wonderful

"Certainly not easy listening, rather what Jonas Hellborg calls "Art Metal". Odd meters, dazzling guitarbreaks, new age like synths, heavy metal riffs, avantgarde chords, it's all here. Very much like Cynic, but (fortunately) without the growls.
Immensely varied, often going from the wild and frenzied to the quiet and introspective, seemingly without any connecting passages. And definitely there seems to be more going on musically in one minute of Canvas Solaris' compositions than in whole CDs from more mainstream acts.
Should appeal to fans of Frank Zappa/Steve Vai,Robert Fripp/King Crimson, Shawn Lane, Hellborg and lovers of experimental and avantgardish music.
Only problem: you have to listen attentively, otherwise it just sounds like noise, lol."
Canvas Solaris - Continue To Expand Their Sound

"Canvas Solaris are an all instrumental progressive rock / metal band that has put out several quality albums and is gaining a growing following in the south United States. These guys started out as pretty much a straight progressive metal outfit, but over the course of the past several albums have branched out into a bunch of different directions. "The Atomized Dream" is literally all over the place musically incorporating progressive, metal, math rock, dreamy soundcapes, and just plain weirdness. The band are all very technically proficient and extremely talented musicians. This is not easy listening music and requires at least some level of concentration on the listener's part. They are a young band on the rise and one to keep an eye on."
