"... that this is actually Canyon's second CD, "Empty Rooms". That said, it's still a worthwhile purchase and I'd highly recommend it. Clocking in at just under 43 minutes, "Empty Rooms" is a solid collection of mostly mid to downtempo rock songs (with substantial elements of folk, country western, and psychedelia). In addition to the standard Guitars-Keys-Bass-Drums set, Canyon also enlists the accordion, lap steel, and harmonica(?) on some tracks. The results are fantastic and very easy on the ears. Among my favorite songs on this album; "Lights of Town", "Ten Good Eyes", "Mansion on the Mountain" and "Magnetic Moon".Just to address the labeling confusion, Canyon's self-titled debut (from the now defunct Slowdime label) IS stylistically similar to "Empty Rooms" but lacks some of the coherence and range displayed on their sophomore effort. "Wheat Penny", "Yellow Tape", "Canyons", and "Faith Has Broken Down" are my hands-down favorites off of that CD. It's definitely worth a listen if you can find it."
