"I think the one thing that seperated these guys from the pack was POWER. A lot of bands seem to confuse volume with power, but it just aint the same. I've (unfortunately) never heard the first EP, but the first LP 'When Putsche Comes to Shove' (tracks 5 to 14)is a classic - the vocals are gruff, the sound is tight, yet they also have variety. As far as speed, I'd say these guys were about the same as MDC's first, but not quite the same sound. Oh, not too metal influenced either. This was released circa '85, so I guess the reason that this wasn't bigger was that straight HC had pretty much been & gone by then.Tracks 16 to 24 are from 'Slum with a View' & the sound is different, slower yet still powerful. The voice is as gravelly as ever, but this has an almost bluesy flavor in places. Less straight hardcore, but will appeal all the same. All in all a worthy addition to anyone's loud CD collection..."

"Okay, so it's not rock in the strictest sense of the word, but, like many others..I so abhor the dreaded "P" word. They are, in this former Fresnan's opinion the best thing ever to come from the Valley. If you like it fast, hard and surprisingly astute..you cannot, will not go wrong with CP"
